Wichita man sentenced to prison in human trafficking case

A judge has sentenced a Wichita man to eight years in prison in a human trafficking case.

In June, 36-year-old Alan Jones pleaded guilty to attempted commercial sexual exploitation of a child, promoting the sale of sexual relations, aggravated assault, attempted robbery, criminal threat and criminal damage to property.   Jones was given 92 months with lifetime post release supervision.

In addition, District Judge Christopher Magana ordered $4,961.41 in restitution go to the victims in the case, $2500 to the Human Trafficking Assistance Fund, and $800 to the
Sedgwick County Child Advocacy Center.
