The Kansas Bureau of Investigation has announced the arrest of two juveniles in connection with a murder that happened in Augusta almost a year ago.
The KBI has been working with Augusta police and the FBI to investigate the September, 2023 murder of 93-year-old Joanne Johnson, who was found dead in her home in the 1700 block of Robbins.
The KBI said two 14-year-old girls have been taken into custody, and they’re being held at separate detention center. Formal charges are pending and the investigation is continuing.
