One person was killed and two others were injured in a house fire early Wednesday morning south of Wichita.
Crews saw flames coming from a home in the 7100 block of South Volutsia when they arrived around 7:15 a.m. One person was in very critical condition but was later pronounced dead. Another person got out from the back of the house, and she was reported to have serious smoke inhalation. A third person had possible serious injuries.
Crews got the fire out within 15 minutes.
