The Kansas Department for Children and Families will be hosting a community resource fair on Thursday in Wichita.
The fair is called Together Sedgwick County, and it will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Boys and Girls Club of South Central Kansas at 2400 North Opportunity Drive.
The fair is open to all residents, and it will provide information on community resources, with access to on-site health services like mammograms and sports physicals, and there will be connections with local employers. The first 100 attendees will receive free school supplies and dental hygiene kits will be available.
The event is co-sponsored by the Boys and Girls Clubs of South Central Kansas, Dedicated Senior Medical Center, Aetna, Aetna Better Health of Kansas, Chick-fil-A, Immunize Kansas Coalition, KANSASWORKS Workforce Center South Central Kansas, Workforce Alliance Inc., Sam’s Club, Sunflower Health Plan, City of Wichita Department of Transportation, Buffalo Wild Wings, United Healthcare Community Plan and Delta Dental of Kansas.
