A Wichita man has pleaded guilty to a road rage shooting that happened near an east side intersection last year.

The plea was entered by 20-year-old Daryon Boone to charges of second degree murder and attempted first degree murder.  He will be sentenced on October 24th.

Police said Boone was one of several motorcycle riders near Kellogg and Greenwich Road on September 1st, 2023.  His motorcycle collided with a pickup, and prosecutors said Boone and a couple of other riders chased the truck.   Boone pulled out a gun and fired two shots into the back of the truck.  A passenger, 69-year-old Norma Williams, died after the shooting.  Her husband, who was driving the pickup, was not hurt.
