A Wichita man has been charged with endangering a child after his 11-month-old daughter was found earlier this week in the I-135 canal.
A hearing was held Friday for 34-year-old Vincent Perez on three counts of aggravated endangering a child and two counts of aggravated battery. His bond was set at $150,000 and his next court appearance was scheduled for August 5th.
A woman saw a baby in the canal near I-135 and Mt. Vernon on Tuesday. The girl was taken to a hospital and then placed into police protective custody. Police later found Perez and took him into custody.
