The Wichita Police Department held graduation ceremonies Thursday for 27 new police officers who have completed their first round of training.
The ceremony was held at Central Community Church at 6100 West Maple. After completing their work at the Wichita-Sedgwick County Law Enforcement Training Center, the recruits will begin field training with experienced officers.
