1. President Joe Biden tested positive for Covid while campaigning in Las Vegas. He has since returned to the East coast to self-isolate. That hasn’t stopped the increased number of phone calls from more and more of his peers asking him to step down from his run for a 2nd term in the White House.

2. Last night speeches at the RNC, specifically the one given by VP nominee JD Vance is being called a “Fact Checking Doozy” with statements, claims and information that was misleading at best to outright lies.

3. Ever thought about being in the movies or a TV show – there are several projects currently in production in and around the Wichita area looking for talent behind and in front of the camera.

4. The Primetime Emmy nominations were announced yesterday and here are some of the highlights: Netflix topped all networks with 107 nominations, followed by FX’s best showing ever with 93. HBO dropped to third for the first time since 1996. FX’s Japanese historical epic “Shōgun” received the most nominations at 25, followed by “The Bear” with 23, a record for a comedy. 

5. And with the start of the Summer Olympics in Paris just 8 days away, Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo took a dip Wednesday in the Seine River, fulfilling a promise to show that the long-polluted waterway was clean enough to host swimming competitions during the games. A couple of things: 1.- Your move Mayor Lily Wu – how ’bout eating a catfish from the Arkansas and 2.- after watching “Under Paris” on Netflix, let’s just hope Mayor Hidalgo got rid of all those sharks.
