Police have identified the man who was killed in a south Wichita shooting that left four other people injured.
Officers were called to the 4800 block of South Gordon around 6 p.m. Friday, and they found 28-year-old Deontre Lawrence dead at the scene. Three other shooting victims were found and a fifth victim was found in a car at 47th Street South and Seneca. The four injured people were taken to a hospital and they are expected to recover.
Detectives are still looking into the circumstances, and a person who was thought to be a person of interest is no longer a focus of the investigation. Police said the victims are all known to each other.
