Today, it’s day #2 of the Awesome from Houston, Texas. “Mattress Mack” is back and like the slogan says, “Mattress Mack Has Got Your Back”. Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale has opened his Gallery Furniture store in north central Houston to provide free food, shelter, and phone charging services to Texans affected by Hurricane Beryl. This support offers refuge from the heat and a place to recover for those displaced by the storm. Mattress Mack has a long history of supporting the community, especially during natural disasters. In addition to Gallery Furniture, numerous community centers, nonprofits, and churches in the greater Houston area are also providing cooling centers for residents.
