A Wichita man recently arrested as a fugitive in Colorado has been charged with a number of crimes in Kansas.
A court hearing was held Wednesday for 40-year-old Ryan Antalek, and he was charged with criminal discharge of a firearm, aggravated assault, fleeing or attempting to elude an officer, stalking, two counts of criminal threat, and criminal damage to property. His bond was set at $500,000 and his next court appearance was scheduled for July 22nd.
Kansas officials had issued a felony warrant for Antalek after he was reported to have made homicidal statements. He was known to carry guns and was considered dangerous.
Deputies in Pueblo County, Colorado arrested Antalek on June 24th at a Day’s Inn in Colorado City after getting a tip that he was staying at the hotel.
