The Harvey County Sheriff’s Office said a Mulvane man was arrested after he led deputies on a chase late Tuesday night.
A deputy tried to stop a motorcycle on Interstate 135 south of Newton after seeing that it did not have a license plate displayed. The driver refused to stop and continued into the south part of Newton. Deputies and Newton police officers chased the motorcycle to the Sand Creek Station Golf Course, where it lost traction and stopped near the parking lot.
The 35-year-old driver was arrested for felony flee and elude charges, along with traffic misdemeanors. No one was injured in the five-minute chase and there was no significant damage to golf course property.
