There is not denying life is messy and hard. I’ve always believed we are some of our parts, no matter how difficult those parts are to look at. Personally, I’ve made some horrifically bad choices that I can’t undo, I can only hope to continue learning from them.  Brian Martin, knows all too well about riding the struggle bus.

He’s a Veteran after a brief time in the military, but most important of all, he’s a survivor. At age 19, he attempted to take his own life. A significant moment that is partly responsible for his trajectory. The first song he ever wrote was based on the suicide note he left that day. While continuing to work on his mental health, he got married and started a family, and started working in the oil fields in his home state of Louisiana.  He did that for 15 years, then the pandemic hit, which brought with it family conflict, and Brian decided to quarantine in a camper behind his father’s house with his guitar.  From that moment in time, came almost 800 songs that Brian wrote.

His debut collection of songs, “If It Was Easy” landed in 2019. By the time he moved to Nashville in 2021, Brian had written almost 3,000 songs and that year he signed a deal with Average Joes Entertainment. Staying on the right path is a daily fight for Brain, after numerous battles with addiction he is over 140 days sober and focused on writing 5 to 10 songs a week.

Currently, his hit song “We Ride” sits in the top 10, headed for number one.

He is also teasing new music with the song “Wishbone”

The future looks bright for Brian as he keeps putting more and more distance between himself and the darkness.
