A Wichita man has been arrested in Garden City for two recent armed robberies.
Garden City police arrested the 49-year-old man on Thursday after a chase. They are holding him for a May 4th robbery at a business where an employee was held at gunpoint. A second robbery was reported July 1st at a restaurant where employees and customers were held at gunpoint.
On Thursday, officers tried to stop a car at 8th and Campbell, but the driver sped away. The chase ended east of Garden City when the driver jumped out and ran. Officers caught up with him and confiscated a gun and drugs. The man is being held in the Finney County jail.
