For the record that’s 18 less than Joe Chestnuts personal best of 76. It’s also just one more than Joey ate yesterday competing against 4 soldiers at Fort Bliss. The soldiers at 49 combined, Joey at 57….and did it in 5 minutes.

5. and in Miami, the Miami-Dade Fire and Rescue responded to a call at the Miami zoo. Not for a human but for an elephant. With the rising temperatures, zoo officials pondered how to provide pleasant precipitation for the perspiring pachyderms. Enter the 1st responders who sprayed the elephants with their hoses and watched the elephants play. Not exactly the most exciting call on the 4th of July, but at least the elephant wasn’t stuck in a tree….
