1. Big political donors are flexing they muscle because push is coming to shove regard President Biden’s future at the person to represent the Democratic party in the upcoming election. The heiress to the Disney fortune and other major donors to the party say they will not fund the party until Biden steps aside.  He says he has no plans of going anywhere.

 

 

 

2. Meanwhile, Donald Trump is receiving a large amount of criticism for what is being called a disgraceful 4th of July tantrum on his social media

 

 

 

 

3. A new face hoisted the Mustard Belt at Nathan’s Famous Fourth of July hot dog eating contest yesterday after 39-year-old Patrick Bertoletti downed 58 hot dogs in 10 minutes. For the record that’s 18 less than Joe Chestnuts personal best of 76. It’s also just one more than Joey ate yesterday competing against 4 soldiers at Fort Bliss.  The soldiers at 49 combined, Joey at 57….and did it in 5 minutes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

4. If Wordle has become mundane and no longer a challenge, test your geography knowledge with the daily “Geogrid”….it’s harder than you think

 

 

 

 

5. and in Miami, the Miami-Dade Fire and Rescue responded to a call at the Miami zoo. Not for a human but for an elephant. With the rising temperatures, zoo officials pondered how to provide pleasant precipitation for the perspiring pachyderms. Enter the 1st responders who sprayed the elephants with their hoses and watched the elephants play.  Not exactly the most exciting call on the 4th of July, but at least the elephant wasn’t stuck in a tree….
