Today we honor Veteran Tammy Jones. In 1987 Tammy suffered a life-altering spinal cord injury during active duty. Since then, she has been an integral part of Paralyzed Veterans of America community, serving in various roles, including board member, sports and recreation director, and President of the Texas Chapter of the PVA . Jones’ advocacy extends to national committees focusing on women veterans’ healthcare, adaptive sports, and advancements in spinal cord injury research. She has now become the first woman to serve as National Senior Vice President for the PVA. Tammy said she does not take the honor lightly and is grateful for those who paved the way. Congratulations on your promotion Tammy and THANK YOU for your service.
