A Sedgwick County judge has sentenced a Wichita man to 44 years in prison for the shooting death of a woman and the wounding of her daughter.
A sentence of 528 months was given to 30-year-old Matthew Alexander III, who pleaded guilty to charges of second degree reckless murder and attempted second degree murder.
Police said 48-year-old Addriane Kenney was killed and her 22-year-old daughter was injured in a shooting that happened on September 21st in the 800 block of South Mission. Investigators said the shooting was the result of a disturbance involving Alexander and the two women.
