Kansas Department of Transportation crews will be closing some northbound lanes of I-135 in north Wichita, starting late Friday.
The center and right northbound lanes will be closed from 2nd Street to 8th Street, starting at 9 p.m. Friday. This is in preparation for a patching project that begins at 5 a.m. Monday. At that time, the center lane will reopen.
During the construction, the speed limit will be reduced to 50 mph in the work zone. Drivers are urged to be alert and watch out for construction workers.
