A 64-year-old Wichita man has been arrested in an investigation into illegal fireworks.

Police Captain Aaron Moses said the Wichita Fire Department received an anonymous complaint Wednesday that illegal fireworks were being sold out of a business in the 3900 block of East Harry.   Officers and Fire Department officials checked out the business and found evidence of illegal fireworks sales, and the investigation led to a home near Pawnee and McLean.   A police bomb squad was called to the home and they found more illegal and homemade explosives.

The home on Pawnee was declared safe and the investigation is continuing.   Moses said information will be presented to the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office for formal charges.
