There is so much AWESOME out there, today it’s in Burrillville, Rhode Island. Field Trips as kids were always a blast.  However, this day away from school almost ended in tragedy if not for the quick actions of 12-year-old Alex Dupuis. While everyone was swimming at the school’s annual trip to the lake, Alex noticed one of his friends was having trouble keeping his head above water and Alex didn’t hesitate to spring into action. He swam to the boy who at first panicked and the both went under. Alex was able to get control and tread water with the boy till lifeguards arrived. If that’s not enough, out of humility Alex didn’t mention anything to his firefighter/EMT parents, it wasn’t until the school emailed them, that they found out. An act of courage that shows what Alex has learned from his first responder parents….THAT’S AWESOME.
