Today we honor Wichita Army Veteran Travis Hofer. Travis always knew the Army was in his future.  At 17 he contacted a recruiter, by 19, he was in Afghanistan.  One of his jobs was to be the dismount on convoys. After the Army, it was the Army National Guard and after 13 years, his service was done. The return to civilian life had its perks and challenges.  He was able to take a road trip to see his favorite football team, the Minnesota Vikings.  On the down side, he struggled with PTSD.  Fortunately, Travis had a good support system, unlike so many others. So, Travis teamed up with another local Veteran, Aaron Childress to speak to groups about the importance of taking care of your mental health. Thank you both for helping others and THANK YOU Travis and Aaron for your service.
