Today we honor Retired Air Force Master Sergeant and linguist Blanca Baquero-Cruz. While in the military she learned Serbo-Croatian, Amharic and Russian — and was medically discharged for post-traumatic stress disorder after serving her country for two decades. She is now on to her next challenge. Blanca has been invited to compete in swimming at the 2025 Invictus Games. Blanca said when she got the notification she was in shock realizing she’d no only be representing the Air Force, and the United States in an international competition but possibly meet Prince Harry. Blanca was nationally ranked in swimming when she was younger making the team was really important to her. Congratulations Blanca on making the team and THANK YOU for your service.
