Officials at McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita said the front landing gear retracted on a KC-135 Stratotanker while the aircraft was parked on a flight line.
This happened around 3:45 p.m. Wednesday. There were two maintainers on board the aircraft and three others were outside when the gear retracted. Base emergency response forces were called to the scene, but no injuries were reported.
The incident is under investigation.
