The Kansas Highway Patrol said three people from Minnesota were killed in a two-vehicle crash in Morris County over the Memorial Day holiday weekend.
Troopers said a pickup was driving south in the center of a roadway and it collided head-on with a northbound SUV at a county intersection six miles northwest of Council Grove. The crash was reported shortly before 4 p.m. Saturday.
The driver of the SUV, 33-year-old Troy Sabean of Roseville, Minnesota, was killed in the crash, along with 33-year-old Emma Porter, also of Roseville, and 69-year-old Ann Porter of Fergus Falls, Minnesota. Two other people in the SUV, a 68-year-old man and a 64-year-old woman from Minnesota, were taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
The two people in the pickup, a 53-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman from White City, Kansas, were also taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
