1. Looks like another “cone zone” is in your future on Kellogg. The city of Wichita just received $2.1M in federal money to start the process of replacing and improving the part of Kellogg near Dwight D. Eisenhower airport.

2. A global climate disaster is closer than scientists first thought.  Xrays of the “Doomsday Glacier” – the glacier the size of Florida in Antarctica – revealed ocean water running under it and melting it at a much faster rate.  When the glacier collapses it will raise sea levels around the globe by 10 feet which spells disaster for coastal towns around the globe.

3. Red Lobster is “dead lobster”. Turns out Cheddar Bay Biscuits couldn’t offset the losses from a costly all you can eat shrimp deal being a permanent thing on the menu.  The largest seafood chain has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy citing underperforming stores, and the rising costs of leases and food.

 4. Seems we are all desperate for sleep.  Many of you try white noise to help fall asleep, others have tried the soothing rumble of brown noise. Now, there is pink noise, which is a soothing frequency found somewhere in the middle.

5. When I say BORG and Star Trek comes to mind, you’re showing your age. BORG is a growing and dangerous trend and it stands for “Blackout Rage Gallon”. Sounds fun, right?  When your day drinking at your next “Darty” – a.k.a. daytime outdoor drinking party – and you see a gallon milk jug getting passed around, that’s probably a BORG. A concoction of vodka or some other alcohol, water, a flavor enhancer and an electrolyte powder or drink. The trend is growing, resistance is futile and experts are warning it’s responsible for an increase in binge drinking. I love how cute the BORG crowd is thinking they invented binge drinking, when my friends and I would just put the stopper in the bathtub, and fill that with as much alcohol as it would hold….and THAT’S TRENDING.
