Today we honor World War II Veteran Ray Rollins. Ray Rollins achieved the Rank of Sergeant T-4, US ARMY Signal Corps, in World War II. He joined ranks with only eight soldiers who traveled across all fronts and ultimately behind enemy lines to re-establish communication lines. Ray returned home, earned his college degree in engineering on what was the first ever VA benefits package, and met his wife Doris. They just celebrated 73 years of marriage and Ray just celebrated his 100th birthday day. Ray said he has appreciated looking back and seeing how things have worked out. As far as the secret to a long life Ray says, “Do not smoke, do not drink too much, exercise, and get a wife to help with your nutrition.” Happy Birthday Ray and THANK YOU for your service.
