After two years of repairs, reconstruction and renovation work, the Dr. Jim Farha Andover YMCA has reopened.
The building was extensively damaged in the April, 2022 tornado that tore through the Andover area. The Greater Wichita YMCA has been working to bring back the building with improved facilities and programs. The upgrades include a 44-foot Luckey Climber, an expanded gymnastics area and an indoor gathering space for families called the Farha Family Park.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Thursday and a public open house was held Friday.
