An unidentified man was taken to a hospital after being shot by a police officer during a disturbance late Monday night.
Officers were called to a domestic violence incident around 10 p.m. in the 1600 block of North Wood, near the intersection of 13th and Tyler. A suspect in the disturbance left but then returned around an hour later. The man got into a struggle with officers and then a shot was fired by one officer.
The 42-year-old man was taken to a hospital with injuries that were described as non-life-threatening.
The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office will be investigating the shooting.
