An 18-year-old man is recovering in a hospital after a weekend shooting in Goddard.
The shooting was reported around 5 p.m. Saturday in a parking lot outside the Walmart store at Kellogg and 183rd Street West. The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office said the victim was taken to a hospital in serious condition, and he was later upgraded to stable condition.
A 47-year-old Wichita man was taken into custody after the shooting and he was booked into jail for attempted second degree murder.
The case will be presented to the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office for a decision on charges.
