UPDATE: A 19-year-old woman was booked into jail on a first degree murder charge after a fatal shooting in north Wichita.
The shooting was reported shortly after 12 noon in the 1400 block of North Minnesota. Officers found 34-year-old Norman Carter III with several gunshot wounds to his upper body. He was taken to a hospital, but he was pronounced dead shortly after 1 p.m.
Police are continuing their investigation. Anyone with information about the incident or who may have video surveillance footage from either doorbell or garage cameras is asked to call the Wichita Police Homicide Investigations Unit at 316-268-4407.
