Earlier this week, something special happened at the Country Music Hall of Fame. Every year the Country Music Association honors Triple Play winners and other artists and songwriters for their accomplishments. More specifically, it recognizes the artists for writing three No. 1 songs in a 12-month time span. This past Monday, they honored seven CMA Triple Play Award recipients, and also awarded publishing veteran Troy Tomlinson with the CMA Songwriter Advocate Award. The 7 winners were:
Jelly Roll
Jordan Schmidt
Hunter Phelps
Chase McGill
Ashley Gorley
Charlie Handsome
Thomas Rhett
Some of the artists on hand to help with the festivities included Mitchell Tenpenny, Hardy, Jordan Davis and Kenny Chesney.
