Police were called to a report of a shooting early Thursday at a northeast Wichita park, and they discovered a man’s body. They determined that his death was not the result of a shooting, but it is believed to be related to a medical emergency.
Someone reported finding the body at 15th and Vassar, near Fairmount Park around 7 a.m. The body was identified as 54-year-old Timothy Dukes of Wichita. He was found to have an injury, but it was not gunshot-related. Police are continuing their investigation.
