If you are like me, you LOVE movie trailers. I’m dating myself here, but before youtube, let’s say 1988 B.Y. – through the 90’s there were 30 minute shows on tv specifically produced to show the latest movie trailers. I would watch them religiously, to get all excited for the latest and greatest offerings from Hollywood. I think we can all agree movie making is an artform, but how many of you agree with me when I say, making a trailer is an artform too?
-The tease
-Just enough of the best parts
-One big surprise
-The Easter Eggs
Allow me to sound like an old person for a second. You kids have it easy these days. When I was your age we didn’t have youtube at our fingertips on all our devices to watch trailers wherever and whenever we wanted to. We had to wait for Saturday and block off an half hour at a specific time.
Okay..enough of that. As much as I liked watching trailers then, imagine how happy I am now. Although, the stupid concept trailers are a pain in the ass. Sure, I appreciate your creativity and I would watch it if you were upfront and label it a concept trailer, rather than trying to sell it as the real thing for clicks. Okay, end rant.
- The most watched trailer of upcoming movies is “Alien: Romulus,” which has been viewed more than 6 million times within a day.

- The animation genre dominates with 4 most-watched trailers.
If you haven’t seen it, and I watched it just minutes after it’s release, here is Alien: Romulus.
It lands in theaters on 8.16.24 – just two days after my birthday so you know where I will be celebrating with a giant bucket of birthday popcorn
Here are some fresh, out of the wrapper trailers you may have missed.
I’m a sucker for most anything post-apocalyptic, so it went without saying I was going to watch “New Life”
In theaters now and one I can’t wait to see is “Civil War”. A24 studios in a just a few years has really made a name for themselves for their innovative, creative, catalogue of movies.
Part 2 of Zack Snyder’s space epic “Rebel Moon: The Scargiver” lands on Netflix on Friday. You still have time to watch the first one which I loved
Pixar and Disney animation has provided so many amazing memories over the years and this will be added to that list. Inside Out 2
