Today, we honor Shannon Walker, a professional dog trainer whose life changed direction when she met an Army Veteran name Kevin. He told Shannon he suffered from PTSD and asked if she would train a service dog for him. It was something she had never done before but she took on the challenge, saw how it helped Kevin and decided to pivot her dog training skills and created the non-profit Northwest Battle Buddies (NorthwestBattle Buddies.org).
