A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Monday to open a new $10 million building for the Newton Public Library.
The new facility will have a dedicated teen area and a youth-teen program room, there will be state-of-the-art meeting rooms for larger groups and a drive-through window for returns and pickups of held items. There is also a patio space that opens onto Military Park and there are study and collaboration spaces that can be reserved for use.
Private donors contributed more than $3 million to help build the new facility at 223 East 7th.
