An unidentified man was seriously injured Thursday morning when he was hit by a car at a highway exit in west Wichita.
The accident was reported around 7 a.m. on westbound Kellogg, on the exit ramp to Ridge Road.
A man in his 20s was taken to a hospital for treatment and police are investigating the incident. Early reports said the man was trying to walk across the ramp when he was hit.
In a separate accident, an 11-year-old girl was taken to a hospital with possible serious injuries after she was hit by a car while at a crosswalk with her bicycle on a street in Haysville. The accident happened shortly before 7 a.m. at Hungerford and Sarah Lane. Haysville police are investigating.
