Another week loaded and ready to go, here are the 5 THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW today.

 

 

1. There were many memorable moments from last night’s oscars, but the show stopping – stand up and take notice – performance from Scott George and his nominted song from “Killers of the Flower Moon”, was so good it received a standing ovation. Oppenheimer” was the big winner, winning 7 awards including the top prize of best picture. The other big winner of the night was “Poor Things,” which took home four Oscars, including best actress (Emma Stone). Da’Vine Joy Randolph won best supporting actress for “The Holdovers.” Meanwhile, Martin Scorsese’s “Killers of the Flower Moon” was shutout after entering the night with 10 nominations.

 

 

 

 

2. The Justice Department has opened it’s criminal probe into the January door blowout incident aboard a Boeing 737 Max belonging to Alaska Airlines. Boeing says documents related to removal of key bolts during assembly either were lost or never filed.

 

 

 

 

3. It always feels like the scenes in a movie with the countdown clock on the bomb and someone trying to difuse it – A government shutdown has been avoided as the votes and approval came through with 2 hours to spare over the weekend on a $459B spending package.

 

 

 

4. A new study is showing an interesting real estate trend.  The survey says that more than half of you would be okay buying a new home and splitting the mortgage with a friend.

 

 

 

5.  Say hello to the latest winter sport craze, Skijoring. It combines skiing with rodeo and it’s popularity is growing.  No way was anyone sober when they thought of this, I mean, think about it. Colorado legalizes marijuana and then this sport appears.  Coincidence? I think not
