Today, JJ’s Star Spangled Salute honors 92-year-old Veteran Retired U.S. Marine Corp Staff Sgt. Ismael Gonzalez-Ramos. Not many people can say they know someone who’s fought in war three times. Three tours, 2 different wars with a selfless and patriot dedication lasting over 20 years. When he lays his head on the pillow at night he thinks to himself, “How… I went through all that misery and never got hit.” His answer is always, “Well, Someone got to do it”. Ismael’s ribbons and medals are numerous, he’s particularly proud of the one he received for heroism. Following his daughter’s advice he stays positive and doesn’t let anything bother him.
