Goodwill Industries of Kansas will be opening a new retail location in Wichita.
A grand opening ceremony will be held Friday, March 1st for the store at 29th and Greenwich Road. The 24,000 square-foot building has state-of-the-art features designed by Schaefer Architecture and built by Dondlinger Construction. A ceremony will be held at 9:30 that morning with special activities to celebrate the opening.
Goodwill president and CEO Laura Ritterbush said in a press release, “This expansion reflects our goal to provide more essential services and programs to those in need.
By adding this store, we are providing a convenient shopping and donating experience to a fast growing area of Wichita.”
Goodwill’s retail stores were created to support its mission to provide opportunities to individuals with disabilities and barriers to employment. Goodwill’s mission provided more than 4,300 program services in 2023.
