UPDATE: Wichita police have arrested three people in connection with a shooting that killed a one-year-old boy and injured two women.
Police have arrested three men, ages 25, 21 and 17 on charges of felony murder. The 25-year-old suspect was on parole for criminal discharge of a firearm, aggravated burglary, aggravated assault and criminal possession of a weapon. The 21-year-old has been on pre-trial supervision for criminal discharge of a firearm into an occupied vehicle.
Information will be presented to the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office for formal charges.
Shots were fired through an apartment door Monday evening at the Sugar Creek Apartments near Pawnee and Oliver. Police said one-year-old Taidyn Anderson was killed and two 24-year-old women were hospitalized with critical but not life-threatening injuries. Police believe the apartment was targeted.
