Here are the 5 THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW TODAY

1. Children, ages 6 to 15 were among the victims in yesterdays shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs victory parade at Union Station.  1 person is dead, a total of 21 injured and 3 people are in custody.

2. Today, in a Manhattan courtroom, the landscape of the 2024 Presidential elections could change. Donald Trump will be on hand to learn whether his glide path to the Republican nomination this spring will be disrupted by his first criminal trial. The case, stemming from Trump’s efforts during the 2016 presidential campaign to cover up an alleged affair with a porn star, is scheduled to go to trial on March 25. At Thursday’s hearing, Justice Juan Merchan is expected to decide whether to stick with that schedule, postpone the trial or even throw out the case altogether.

3. Calling it a serious threat to national security, the U.S. just received updated information on Russia’s nuclear capabilities as it turns out they are working on an orbiting, nuclear missle defense system.  Not in orbit yet, once it is, it could seriously distrupt U.S. operations and the control of our country’s nuclear arsenal

4. Travis Kelce is dipping his toes into the Hollywood movie pool.  The Chiefs tight end will produce a new film called “My Dead Friend Zoe” which is set to make it’s world premiere at SXSW on the 9th of next month. Directed by Kyle Hausmann-Stokes, “My Dead Friend Zoe” follows a female Afghanistan veteran who comes head-to-head with her Vietnam vet grandfather at the family’s ancestral lake house. This will be the first movie financed using President Biden’s Green Energy Tax Credits.

5. Now that Valentine’s Day has come and gone, Flori-DUH gives us a tale of love as solid as stone. Probably not quite the Valentine’s Day experience this Florida woman was expecting. Her ex-boyfriend, allegedly made off with a couple of sandhill crane statues from someone’s yard and put them in *her* yard in an effort to make up with her. Look some guys steal hearts….others steal statues…
