Chris Young was cleared of all charges after security footage apparently contradicted the agents version of what happened. Security footage shows that an agent shoved Chris Young in a Nashville bar incident so aggressively that he falls backwards into the corner of a bar and then trips backwards over a bar chair onto the ground. The entire incident was captured on three different security cameras.
That night Chris was taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and assault of an officer on Monday night. He posted bond and was released. After the security video came out, Chris Young’s attorney made a public statement that said Chris shouldn’t have been arrested in the first place, ” and that in light of the video evidence, Tennessee ABC needs to drop the charges and apologize for the physical, emotional, and professional harm done towards my client.”
Nashville District Attorney Glenn Funk released a statement on Friday that read, “Regarding the Chris Young incident – After a review of all the evidence in this case, the Office of the District Attorney has determined that these charges will be dismissed.” After the charges were dropped, Bill Ramsey, Chris’ attorney, told People magazine that, “Mr. Young and I are gratified with the DA’s decision clearing him of the charges and any wrong-doing.”
