Evergy reported more than 400 customers without power in and around the city of Olpe after a traffic accident early Wednesday.
The crash was reported around 5 a.m. on Kansas Highway 99 at Road K-5, near Olpe. A box truck crashed and brought down a power line, but no other details have been released.
The entire community of Olpe and the surrounding area was without power. Most of the power was restored by 7 a.m.
