Today, JJ’s Star Spangled Salute honors U.S. Army Sgt. Maciel Hay. Maciel just defied the odds by making it through training while qualifying as an expert with the M4 assault rifle before graduating airborne school. That wasn’t enough for the very driven Maciel. She followed that accomplishment up by making it through the United States Army Sniper School, becoming the first active-duty female Army sniper. Congratulations Maciel on all your accomplishments and THANK YOU for your service.
