Today, JJ’s Star Spangled Salute honors 101-year-old WWII Veteran Joseph Gentiluomo. Joseph credits his longevity to his relentless curious mind. His long life started in New York, led him to work on B-24 Liberator bombers in the South Pacific during the war to a successful career at both General Electric and IBM. Joseph says he’s always tinkering. It was that tinkering that led to a patent for the modern bowling ball that placed the weight in the center of the ball plus 27 other inventions from golf balls to a robotic hand used by NASA. Recently, Joseph was presented with the New York state Senate’s Liberty Medal and inducted him into the New York State Senate Veterans Hall of Fame. Congratulations Joseph and THANK YOU for your service.
