1. It’s new country Friday and a couple of big names dropping some goodies for you. Chris Stapleton’s new album “Higher” is out today. He marked the occasion by releasing the the 4th song from the album called “Mountains Of My Mind”.
Kenny Chesney has released his new single “Take Her Home” and KFDI has the New Country World Premiere all day today. Kenny describes it as “Everything life is made of in 4 minutes”
2. Jelly Roll set the example again – this time at the CMAs. He said he wanted to be present and remember everything, so he didn’t touch his phone once the whole night.
3. Wynonna whose performance with Jelly Roll raised a lot of questions about her health responded yesterday on social media saying she was nervous. She was also busy because in order for her to join him, Jelly Roll had to hire a private jet to get her from Nashville to San Antonio for a schedule show there, later that night.
4. Maren Morris has opened up about her new EP, her friendship with Taylor Swift and clarifying her “leaving country music comments” saying country music will always be a part of her but she’s just leaving behind the stuff that doesn’t jive with her anymore.
5. And as Cirque Du Soleil “Corteo” is in town this weekend, news is out that Cirque and Universal Music Group have teamed up to launch a country music themed Cirque show and that tour will launch from Nashville in July of next year.
