A one-year-old child was taken to a hospital after accidentally ingesting fentanyl, and police later took a man into custody.
Police were called around 7:45 Monday evening to a home in the 6100 block of East Boston, in a neighborhood near the intersection of Harry and Woodlawn. They administered Narcan to a child at the home to counter the effects of the fentanyl.
Police have arrested a 38-year-old man for aggravated endangering of a child and several drug-related charges.
