Today, JJ’s Star Spangled Salute honors the nonprofit Dream Flights and the Veterans it helped take flight. Yesterday, the nonprofit took Veterans from an assisted living facility on a flight aboard a restored world war II plane to see local landmarks in Lincoln, Nebraska. One of those Veterans, Jack Coupe, a flight engineer from the Korean War said it was a full circle moment for him. Since the nonprofit started back in 2011, more than 6,000 vets across the country have been able to get this experience.
