IYKYK – I SUCK at DIY stuff.  I’ve never been good at it.  It stresses me out.  Ultimately, I end up breaking stuff and need to call for help.  Walking into a hardware store triggers me.  However, that doesn’t stop by from trying. So, when I saw this tweet from “Wild As Her” singer Corey Kent, I felt an instant bond with him.

Wired a ceiling fan tonight.

Almost started a fire.

Learned how not to wire a ceiling fan.

Then finally figured out how to wire a ceiling fan.

When I installed the range hood in my kitchen (still up and working to this day after about 5 years) there we a lot of sparks at one point. (Forgot to turn the breaker off).

But I can’t be the only one with DIY disasters…where did it all go wrong?
