Students in kindergarten through 12th grade will have a chance to visit over 100 museums and attractions across Kansas at free or reduced admission this summer.
The Sunflower Summer Program kicked off May 26th and it will run through August 13th. The program is sponsored by the Kansas State Department of Education and the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks.
More than 115 venues are participating in the program this year, and that includes 15 attractions in Wichita. The Sedgwick County Zoo, Exploration Place, the Kansas Aviation Museum, Botanica, the Kansas African-American Museum, and the Mid-America All-Indian Museum are among the participating locations.
Students can visit the Sunflower Summer Program web site at www.sunflowersummer.org and download the app to access the program.
